If you haven't heard, Venezuela is holding elections today. But the leadership of the opposition to Chavez has called for opposition candidates to withdraw and voters to boycott the polls, despite international monitoring, mediation and changes made to the electoral process at the opposition's request. Several small explosives were set off Friday and Saturday in an apparent attempt to further undermine voters' confidence. But the elections are going forward, with the approval of international observers. Read more about it here
